The last place to look for The Bank of Nova Scotia's headquarters is in Nova Scotia. Although the company (aka Scotiabank) was founded in that province in 1832, it moved to Toronto in 1900. One of Canada's Big Five banks (along with Royal Bank of Canada, TD Bank, Bank of Montreal, and CIBC), Scotiabank provides retail, corporate, and investment banking services around the world. In addition to about 1,000 domestic branches, Scotiabank has approximately 1,700 offices in more than 50 other countries, mainly in the Caribbean and Central and South America. Services include deposit accounts, loans, insurance, brokerage, asset management, mutual funds, and trust services.
